Campfire Full English! Easy Fire Pit Breakfast

There's nothing quite like cooking breakfast over a live fire. The smell of bacon and sausages on the grill, the crackle of the flames - it's the perfect way to start the day. Cooking over a fire pit takes a bit of practice, but once you get the hang of managing your coals, you'll be hooked. Plus, everything just tastes better cooked outside.

Method

  1. Build your fire and let it burn down to a good bed of hot coals.
  2. Set up your grill grate at a comfortable height above the coals.
  3. Give the grate a quick scrape to clean off any rust or debris.
  4. Start with the items that take longest - sausages first, then bacon.
  5. Add your eggs and tomatoes once the sausages are nearly done.
  6. For beans, use a cast iron pan or pot directly on the coals.
  7. Keep everything moving and adjust the height if things are cooking too fast.
  8. Serve everything together while it's hot - there's nothing better than a fire-cooked breakfast.
